OUGD405: Studio Brief 02 - Information Design Page - Initial Ideas Feedback

Think about how it would go with the entire campaign.
Will they remember this in a week.
Something they can take away from it,
Penalties of drink driving.
"If you're in charge of the vehicle, you've got the keys, you're done."
"Wasn't moving" "doesn't matter, it's your car." - This could be a tagline.
Keep it simple, get to the message which is key. "Key visual."
"What is the discussion, what is the message."
"Has to be aimed at your target market."
"Class as junk mail if it's not in an envelope."
"An envelope addressed especially to me I'll open it straight away."
Think about your habits and how you engage in leaflets. The focus of this brief is to engage with your target audience, this is the challenge you have to think about the delivery and the content. How you are going to engage someone; is a flat sheet of paper going to be the best approach to this?
Think about copy, the whole purpose is to engage the target audience. How do you get someones attention initially? How do you make sure they're going to read the content after too.
Think of the perception, audience - put it in to place. "Shit faced? Get a cab."
"Printing methods and stock appeal to different people." - Start doing test pieces, mock ups, sketching things out.
"People need guidance, perhaps to a journey through" - for example, kids won't just read a plain piece of paper.
Full CMYK colours difficult and expensive to distribute but monotone can be restrictive.
It doesn't have to be just flat sheets of paper it can be different shapes and cut out.

Consider the stock - glossy, magazine stock for mass distribution.

Consider the two target audiences. I originally aimed the leaflet at younger people (18-25) whereas it could potentially be older people that are causing the incidents because this legislation was not put in place when they were younger so they are still irresponsible to the law in that aspect. The different audiences would vary how the leaflet is written, the tone of voice would change and the design decisions such as typography.

The progression of the typography could vary in a tactical way to put the reader in the perspective that the words become less legible or smaller to show the impact of what happens if you drink.
